Suika Ibuki

This page lists useful spells and skills Suika has in the game, as well as explain her role and how she’s useful in the various speedrun categories. Quick Summary

Suika is completely optional and requires a hefty 50000 money investment to buy her enough sake and recruit her. Suika is very strong and very tanky, with skills that further boost her power, making her amazing for boss fights. She is very resistant to most ailments too, making her a strong support unit for staying out and tanking things when she’s not dealing damage.

Spells List

• Throwing Mt.Togakushi
  • NTR physical spell that targets DEF
  • Has +20 ACC
  • Good delay and very powerful, excellent to spam on bosses
• Throwing Atlas
  • WND physical spell that targets DEF
  • Has -12 ACC
  • A nuke version of Togakushi, excellent for nuking bosses
• Gathering and Dissipating
  • Row WND magic spell that targets MND
  • Chance to ATK/MAG-debuff(25): 88/92/96/100/104
  • Good for debuffing a row, but don’t expect damage since it scales on MAG
• Missing Power
  • Self buff spell that also debuffs Suika
  • Buffs ATK for 80/88/96/100/100, DEF/MND for 50/55/60/65/70
  • Debuffs SPD for 50/50/50/50/40
  • A vital piece for early/mid game bosses, tanks can easily handle any attacks thrown at them for a while after receiving this buff. Few battles require buffing the entire front line’s defense for the entire fight though.
• Art of Segaki Binding
  • DRK physical spell that targets DEF
  • Has +25 ACC
  • Chance to PAR(3000): 86/90/94/98/102
  • Chance to HVY(10000) or TRR(10000): 66/70/74/78/82
  • Good for inflicting ailments on a single foe, but has terrible damage output

Skills List

• ATK/MND/RES Boost
  • RES Boost makes her pretty much immune to a lot of ailments
• Ibuki Gourd
  • Every turn, either recover 10/20% HP, 1/2 MP, or buff one of ATK/DEF/MAG/MND/SPD by 10/20
  • Amazing skill for long boss fights, but not very reliable since the buff you get is completely RNG
• Free-Spirited Oni
  • Boosts damage by up to 66% the less HP the enemy has
  • Amazing skill to finish bosses when they’re low on HP
• Fog Labyrinth
  • Increase party ACC/EVA by 10/20%
  • Very situational, but indispensable for a blink tank party setup
• Art of Oni Binding
  • Chance to PAR enemies every turn
  • Not very useful and very unreliable
• Encounter with a Strong Foe
  • If Suika’s attack does not kill the enemy, buff ATK/DEF/MAG/MND/SPD by 7
  • Another amazing skill for long boss fights to keep Suika’s buffs going
