Kaguya Houraisan (Boss)

This page explains the strategies employed against Kaguya on her boss fight. This includes party composition, which spells to use offensively and defensively, and how the battle should flow, which attacks to watch out for, etc. Since strategies vary greatly from route to route, explanations will be separated accordingly.

Quick Summary

Kaguya is an optional boss fight that starts the Eientei side quest. She has access to many powerful moves and can be a really difficult boss at the challenge level. Thankfully though, we can come back later when we are overlevelled and overwhelm her.

  • AoE FIR spell targetting MND, deals good damage if weak to FIR
• Storm of Blue Rain
  • AoE CLD spell targetting MND, deals good damage if weak to CLD
• Storm of Yellow Drive
  • AoE WND spell targetting MND, deals good damage if weak to WND
• Storm of Wood Leaves
  • AoE NTR spell targetting MND, deals good damage if weak to NTR
• Dragon’s Neck Jewel
  • AoE MYS spell targetting MND, deals good damage if weak to MYS
• Buddha’s Stone Bowl
  • AoE SPI spell targetting MND, deals good damage if weak to SPI, will also buff all of Kaguya’s stats by 14% and can debuff your party by 24%
• Swallow’s Cowrie Shell
  • AoE NTR spell targetting MND, very strong, so watch out for NTR weak characters
• Bullet Branch of Hourai
  • AoE SPI spell that ignores defenses and is VERY powerful, this is her battle ending nuke

Strategies

Ame-no-Murakumo (NG)

Since we show up completely overlevelled here, we simply nuke her with Nitori’s Super Scope 3D for a one hit kill and call it a day. No fancy strats needed.
